Kate Bradley
I joined the chorus last fall, so I have only participated in one show, but I loved it!

I joined the chorus for two reasons: the first is because I do love to sing. The second is because I wanted something fun to do that would get me out of the house and out with a group of people. I'm staying in the chorus because I really enjoyed the group of people that I met!

I have oodles of hobbies. I bead and kayak and shoot competitive pistol sports and I teach 4-H kids how to shoot, that's a few of the things that I enjoy doing.

Katie Sheridan
I joined in January 2010.

I decided to join after watching the first season of Glee and realizing how much I missed singing from when I was in choirs in high school and college.

Free time??? Now I sing with WC! :-) Really besides singing at WC or going to karaoke, I'm helping friends prepare for their weddings, doing stuff with my family, or I'm working on house renovations with my husband.

Membership Coordinator
Kelli Schuster
I have been with the chorus for 15 years.

There are two reasons I joined. First, I was tired of hearing my Dad, Wayne and Willa Owens asking me when I was going to join and second, I went to one of the performances and thought it looks like fun, which of course it is!!!!

In my free time I like to ballroom dance and I sing every chance I get, especially karaoke.

Liddy Lindsey
I joined the Worthington Chorus because I love performing for others! I have been singing and acting since I was about four.

I sang and still associate with the Columbus Women's Chorus, The Gillie G-Cleffs and volunteer as a guest singer at various churches.

I have sang with the Worthington Chorus off and on since the Fall of 2006.

My ideal occupation would be to open a day care for infants. I never considered working with children as a JOB. I can sing and act as young as I feel!

Lisa Ireland
I have been singing with the Worthington Chorus since Fall 2009. My husband Paul Ireland and I moved to Ohio from California in 2008 with our two boys, two cats, a dog and a rabbit. It was quite an experience to drive across the country to live in a place where we had no friends or family. I love to sing and meet new people so I looked on the internet for chorus groups in the area and found Worthington Chorus.

The first impression you get of the chorus is how wonderfully friendly and accepting all the members are towards each other. We don't just sing, we get to know each other. Worthington Chorus has become my home away from home. The members are wonderful, talented people who bring their love of music to life with every beautiful note they sing.

My dream job would be to be a published young adult author which ties into what I like to do most in my free time (aside from singing), read books. I love books! I would also love to work as an Events Coordinator for a Theater.

Malinda Ladd
When I moved to Ohio in 2008, I decided joining a chorus would be a great way to meet people who enjoy singing as much as I do. (And, as an added bonus, I could stop dragging my husband out to karaoke!)

After researching the choruses in the area, I decided Worthington Chorus looked like a fun and diverse group. I was finally able to join in January 2010, and this group of people has surpassed my expectations. Everyone is friendly and supportive, and we are all there to have fun doing what we love.

I spend a lot of time working on our house. In my free time, I like to read, bake, hike and garden. I also enjoy a good run. My dream job would be to own a bakery café.

Artistic Director
Mitzi Goldsmith
I joined the chorus because I love to sing. Whether it's in the car, the shower or in front of an audience I love to do it.

I've been with the chorus off and on for about 8 years.

My dream job, I'm already doing it. I get to help families with special needs children navigate the homecare life. I get to give back.

Free Time- there is such a thing? Right now any free time I have is spent either working on the current show or planning the next one. My mind is ever thinking "Chorus"
Paul Ireland
I joined the Worthington Chorus in January 2011 to spend more time with my wife Lisa. I also play flute with a local community band.

My ideal job would be to have my own ranch with bison, alpacas, angora rabbits and numerous horse breeds. I have a vast respect for clothing fibers that will keep me warm and I think its worthwhile to understand how clothing is made.

In my free time I remodel my house, practice woodworking, read books, play computer games, and participate in my son's Boy Scout Troop as an Assistant Scout Master and as a Merit Badge Counselor for numerous merit badges. I like to help the Chorus out by building props and sewing costumes in between practicing my band and chorus pieces.

Paul Thompson
I joined the Worthington Chorus because my wife [Adele] wanted me to sing, and I have been with the chorus since January 2010.

My dream job is doing taxes and accounting.

Free time? What's free time?

Pete Corey
I'm actually Paul W. but I prefer Pete Corey. I've been with the Chorus for two years. I am a retired high school teacher and football coach. I have always loved to sing even if there is no one listening. This is a really fun group and the coaching staff (especially [accompanist] Greg [White]) is really helpful.

President
Robyn Purje
I'm not originally from the Columbus area and I was looking for a place where I could be an individual instead of being defined as wife and mother. That was 20+ years ago. I now have lifetime friends who enjoy singing and entertaining as much as I do.

Sabrina Warnock
Singing lights up my life, it's like a different kind of soulfood - that's why I joined the Worthington Chorus in January 2011! I have been singing with various groups since I was 10 years old. If I don't sing with people that enjoy it as much as I do, I miss it! The Worthington Chorus is awesome!

My dream job is working in radio broadcasting. I would love to have my own show, maybe even a talk show with guests and callers, but never excluding music. Working for television would be pretty sweet, too! Sometimes I think joining the American pickers would be awesome, driving all over the country to find cool stuff - maybe they need an intern? I could also imagine being an event or wedding planner.

In my free time I love to do arts and crafts, cook, be with friends or just relax and sleep.

Sue Day
I have been with the Chorus since 1976. I joined the Chorus because Bob Stewart invited me. I started singing in my church's Cherub Choir. In my free time, I sing, read, write on my book, teach and serve the Church.

Tabitha Kirkland
I joined the Worthington Chorus in January 2010.

I just love it! It's fun and it always gets me in a good mood regardless of whatever else is going on in my life.

Singing with the chorus is my break from graduate school, where I'm a third year doctoral student in social psychology. I also enjoy cooking, gardening, playing ultimate frisbee, and riding my bike around town.

I joined the Worthington Chorus more than 4 years ago, after reading an article about it in one of the local newspapers. I've always enjoyed singing and did a fair amount of it when I was young. My family used to sing around the piano for our own entertainment when I was growing up, so I guess part of it is genetic. However, after graduation from college, I didn't sing a note for over 40 years, due to raising a family and earning a living.

To me, singing is such a rewarding experience, because it allows a person to express him or herself in so many ways. I especially like singing with the Worthington Chorus, because there is truly something here for all age groups and abilities, from the variety of music we sing to the opportunities for those who want do solos or perform in small groups as well as those who just love to sing with the chorus.

I'm retired, so in addition to singing, I do a little tutoring for high school students on a part time basis.

Will Brown
I joined the chorus because I love to sing and perform, especially for those people who cannot get out to enjoy music. I have been with the chorus for one year, and plan to be with them as long as I can. My dream job is to be a professional stagehand. In my spare time I like to work on small wood arts and craft items, play golf, and read as many Star Trek books as I can.
